Köping Municipality is looking for a Sports Caretaker

Köping Municipality is seeking a sports caretaker for the facilities and association support unit within the Education, Culture, and Leisure Administration. Are you our new colleague?

At our facilities and association support, we actively work with external collaborations to contribute to the municipality's attractiveness as both a residential municipality and a tourist destination. Our task is to promote and be responsible for the parts of the municipality where our municipal facilities are included.

Our mission is to create good opportunities for citizens to engage in sports and exercise within or outside of the association life. Our vision is that the operations should stimulate movement, provide opportunities for more leisure and wellness options, create meaningful leisure time, and offer a total experience for the whole family.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will work practically in the daily operations of your respective area of responsibility based on needs and resources, which means a varied job where no day is the same as the other. You will work together with 11 people to achieve the best possible service for the municipality's residents. Working hours will vary in three shifts (day, evening, weekend).

Examples of tasks that may occur:

• Maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs
• Ongoing supervision, both internal and external
• Care of grass areas, ice surfaces, and the general areas of the facilities
• Daily dialogue with the associations within the municipality

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with practical training in maintenance and management, where experience/training in park maintenance, green areas, and facility work (land) is an advantage. You are handy and practically inclined while feeling comfortable using a computer in your work. You have experience driving and handling work vehicles, and a B driver's license is required.

We believe you are a person who finds it easy to build relationships and meet people in various situations. You enjoy working both independently and in a group, and you have a sense of order and service, are responsible, and technically skilled. You have a good ability to create structure, and it comes naturally to you to take initiative and drive your work forward. Since work peaks may occur, you need to have a good ability to handle a fast pace where you can independently see what needs to be done when it needs to be done.
